What happens to your data
- Right away: your account is closed and you are signed out everywhere. Your study schedules, statistics, and registered devices are erased.
- Your decks: they are removed from Syncogia and permanently deleted after 30 days. If other people study one of your decks, they keep access until they remove it from their own list, and the deck is deleted after that.
- Other account data: any other personal data is cleaned up automatically about 30 days after deletion.
- Security records: security and audit records, such as sign-in events, are kept for up to 400 days to protect other users and investigate abuse, then deleted.
- Backups: database backups are kept for 7 days, so deleted data leaves them shortly after it is deleted from the live service.
- Public content you shared: copies that other people saved to their own study list stay available to them as described above.
If you want us to confirm that a specific uploaded image or audio file has been removed, email support@syncogia.com.
